About SEF training

Training from the Sex Education Forum 

 

The Sex Education Forum offer a range of one and two-day training courses, twighlight and inset, for teaching and non-teaching professionals, alongside bespoke training for your school, authority or organisation.

Our training aims to improve the quality of SRE by:

  • offering a bespoke approach which meets the unique challenges of your school
  • being rights-led and underpinned by the expressed needs of children and young people
  • ensuring practice is compliant with education policy and reflects up to date evidence and research

Our training gives teachers and practitioners the skills to deliver effective SRE by:

  • demonstrating practical skills through a range of resources and approaches that can be used in the classroom
  • encouraging practice-sharing through an interactive approach
  • prioritising inclusion and ensuring SRE meets the needs of all children and young people
  • empowering you to have the confidence to respond to difficult questions and emerging challenges
  • embedding the core skills and competencies for effective teaching on any topic

Consent, peer pressure and sexual harrassment (secondary)
A one-day course for secondary teachers and PSHE/SRE leads on effective approaches for teaching about consent and healthy relationships.  + More

This course focuses on resources and techniques for developing a critical awareness of pornography and exploring issues of power, peer pressure and choice in the classroom. + More

Practical resources and approaches for meeting equalities duties and ensuring that RSE reflects diverse families and meets the needs of all pupils. + More
