A qualified teacher with twenty years' experience in RSE and PSHE, Vicky now works independently as a trainer, consultant, speaker and resource-maker, as well as for the Sex Education Forum on the Think Again project aimed at reducing gender-based violence and dating and relationship violence. She is also a Sex Education Forum partner.
Vicky’s award-winning adaptation of the UWE Bystander Intervention programme has been expanded to create an NEU toolkit for whole-school culture change to tackle sexism and sexual harassment. In a prizewinning collaboration with NHS experts, she has also produced PSHE Association-accredited resources for testicular health education. Vicky continues to work with the North East London Cancer Alliance to promote testicular health awareness in schools and the wider local community. She is currently working on a primary school peer mediation programme and developing commissioned educational resources about the menopause.
In all her work, Vicky engages with young people to ensure that resources are accessible, useful, and pitched appropriately. She is a strong believer in the facilitation of open discussion as a tool to promote engagement with RSE and keep it relevant, while also developing the respectful communication skills young people need to navigate relationships.
