Corah Gritton

Corah (she/ her) currently works as a civil servant at the Department for Education and has previously worked in Scottish Parliament as a parliamentary researcher.

Her work in the third sector has driven her passion for challenging educational inequality. She has worked at the NGO, Global One undertaking education research projects in Jordan and Lebanon. In addition to this she has participated in FGM prevention work as a volunteer for the Tanzania Trust, using quantitative software to track the experiences of young girls in schools.

Corah has studied social public policy in Glasgow, Hong Kong and Bosnia Herzegovina. During this time she undertook research in gender violence and online dating. She continued to develop her knowledge of educational inequality conducting a large piece of policy research in partnership with a multi-academy trust to assess the standards and delivery of sex and relationships education policy, examining implementation barriers and policy gaps across a large organisation.

Corah is excited to continue her professional journey as an advocate for equal and high quality access to RSHE. She became a trustee for Sex Education Forum in April 2022.
